Scrappers Announce '08 Rosters
A new season yields new and old players to the Growl's
minor league affiliate

Voorhees, NJ - A new year and a new team will be on the floor for the South Jersey Scrappers. Five players from last season's team will be returning along with several other players who have made their way through the Growl organization at one point or another. Three players will debut in PIHA from the Growl's junior system, while four former players will make a return to the organization.

Returning from last season will be Jonathan Lucente and Mike Campanaro, who signed together last season with the Scrappers. The duo was also the inspiration for the 16U Junior Growl team that won USARS National and took Bronze at NARCh platinum this past summer. Also joining the team from the junior Growl will be defenseman Matt Grabert, forward Erik, Barney, and goaltender Mike Maczynski.

Others returning to the team this season will be defensemen Angelo Citino and Sonny Ciocco. Citino is a six year veteran of the Growl organization and returns in 2008 as one the the teams leaders. Also returning will be Ken Clark, who now at eighteen will begin to be groomed for the pro team in the next year or two.

Former members of the organization Mason Teitelman, Harry Garber, and Don Susini will all be making their return to PIHA this coming season. Both Teitelman and Garber were co-founders of the organization along with General Manager Anthony Flynn and the already mention Angelo Citino. Also a member of that group is Mike Sanchez, who will also play for the Scrappers in 2008. Last spring Sanchez suffered two broke bones in his ankle, but has recovered well and could return in time for the start of the season.

Completely new to the organization this year will be goaltender Mark Teshic and forward Justin Malone. The team will once again be coached by Anthony Flynn
